information needed

Hi, I'm a senior in high school and we are currently working with fruit
flies for an AP Biology experiment.  We have a group called 'Oregon R' and
then a group entiltled 'y'.  Could you please send me information on these
flies and others.  I think that the names are code names.  But I think the
'y' stands for yellow?  Thank you for your help.  It will be much
appreciated.
