Egg counts/collections

Collect eggs in a vial ?  Offer the flies yeast paste to lay 
on, wash the eggs out of the yeast and put them in a vial.

or is that too simple ?

If the eggs are being laid in a vial anyway do you need to 
take them out ?  With a decent binoc you can count them in 
situ.

but... whatever you do... when you come to do the stats 
remember that an egg being laid is not a 
statistically independent event.  I'll be so disappointed if 
i have to reject another ms because of this error.
