Science fair

To whom it may concern:

I am a senior at Bishop McDevitt HS in Harrisburg, PA, and am doing a
science fair project regarding the effect of heat shock treatment on the
optomoter response in Drosophila melanogaster.  I have a general idea of
how to do the project, but am having trouble developing a quantitative
procedure to test for the optomoter response and the amount of RNA
produced.  If anyone has any suggestions or sources of information, I
would greatly appreciate your help.
