Molecular Cell Biologist


The Department of Biology at McGill University invites applications
for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the
area of molecular cell biology.  Preference will be given to
candidates whose research addresses fundamental problems in molecular
cell biology and developmental biology using genetically well
characterized systems. Applicants should hold the Ph.D. degree in
biological sciences and have demonstrated research proficiency through
postdoctoral training.

The successful applicant will join a large and dynamic department with
research strengths in cellular, molecular and developmental biology,
ecology, evolution and neurobiology, with extensive affiliations with
the Faculty of Medicine and local research institutes.  Additional

development of a vigorous research program and teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate level. The expected starting date is July
1, 1999.
