I have a balancer with the beta Galactodidase gene (lacZ) fused to ftz. Can anyone tell me how early wild type FTZ protein is expressed and if anyone knows of a similar LacZ fusion to an earlier expressed gene with a stably maintained product, such as actin or ubiquitin?
