Analysis of transcription factor targets in Drosophila by DNA
microarray analysis
The successful applicant will probe the expression of thousands of
transcription units expressed in Drosophila germ cells by a global
genomics approach. The current effort is focused on sequencing
germline ESTs, chip production (on glass slides), and identifying
direct targets of the antagonistic OVO transcription factors.
Experience in molecular biology is required. An engineering or
bioinformatics background is highly desirable.
Please send applications to:

Function of the gene encoding the Drosophila homologue of the MEN1
tumor suppressor.
Inherited mutations in the human MEN1 gene are responsible for a
familial multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (tumors of the
parathyroid, enteropancreatic endocrine and anterior pituitary
tissues). Naturally, there is a fly homologue. Experience with
Drosophila molecular and genetic techniques is essential.
Please send applications to:
S. Chandrasekharappa,
Genetics and Molecular Biology Branch, NHGRI, NIH
Building 49, Room 3E-13, 49 Convent Drive,
Bethesda MD 20892 USA
phone: (301) 402-2344. Fax: (301) 402-4929.
Email: chandra at nhgri.nih.gov.

Applicants must have less than five years of postdoctoral experience.
NIH is an equal opportunity employer.
