Post-doctoral/Graduate Student Positions in Drosophila
Developmental Genetics:
Wnt and Src signaling in Drosophila
_________________________________________

Positions are available for a graduate student and a
post-doctoral fellow to study genes that interact with Wnt
or Src Pathway sensitized genetic backgrounds in the
fruit-fly Drosophila melanogaster. This research is part of
a collaboration between three labs funded through the Terry
Fox New Frontiers Program of the National Cancer Institute
of Canada. Research opportunities are also open for
molecular genetic studies of the cell interactions
controlling pattern formation in the developing legs and
wings of flies.

The University of Calgary has a full range of services for
conducting Drosophila research, cell biology, and molecular
genetics (i.e. imaging, electron microscopy, DNA and peptide
sequencing). Calgary is a cosmopolitan city located a short
drive from the Rocky Mountains.

Post-doctoral applicants should have training in molecular
biology and/or genetics. Interested candidates should send
their CV and references by e-mail to brook at ucalgary.ca or
mail to:
