Postdoctoral Research Associate
P450 gene regulation
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately
to study transcriptional control of CYP6D1, a cytochrome P450 gene
responsible for insecticide resistance. The goal of this NIH funded
research is to identify the factors responsible for the elevated rate
of transcription of CYP6D1 in resistant strains. Applicants should
possess a strong knowledge of molecular biology and have experience
with one or more of the following techniques (gel shift assays,
footprinting, nuclear run-on transcription assays and/or protein
purification). Please send curriculum vitae plus addresses and phone
numbers of 3-4 references to: Dr. J. G. Scott, Cornell University,
Department of Entomology, Comstock Hall, Ithaca, NY 14850
(http://www.cals.cornell.edu/dept/entom/Faculty/Scott/JS.html).
