NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowships are available
immediateley in the laboratory of Kwang Choi, Department of Molecular
and Cellular Biology, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. The main
focus of
the research is the role of apical junction proteins in epithelial cell
polarity (Cell 96, 833, 1999). A successful candidate will be involved
in analyzing the role of apical proteins during retinal differentiation
and identifying new molecules in the process. Furthermore, the
candidate will have close interaction with another group in our lab
studying pattern formation in early eye disc (Nature 396, 272, 1998;
Cell 103, 331, 2000). Candidates should have training in molecular
biology and
genetics of Drosophila. If interested, please send your
curriculum vitae and the names and phone numbers of three references to
kchoi at bcm.tmc.edu or to Kwang Choi, One Baylor Plaza, M820, Baylor
