MOLECULAR AND GENETIC ANALYSIS OF CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS IN DROSOPHILA
Two Ph.D. and a postdoctoral position are available from November 2000
to join a group studying circadian rhythms in the fruitfly Drosophila
melanogaster. The lab focuses on light- and temperature-entrainment
pathways into the circadian clock and on the isolation of novel
rhythmically expressed genes. Techniques involved in current projects
are in vivo measurements of rhythmic gene expression using the "live
fly" luciferase assay, RNase Protection assays, Immuno-blotting and
-histochemistry, as well as analysis of rhythmic locomotor behavior and
eclosion.

Positions are funded for 3 years, salary: 2000,- DM for Ph.D. and 4000,-
DM for the Postdoc position .
