Fall Semester 2001
Barnard College, Department of Biological Sciences, has a full-time term
appointment for a semester leave replacement at the assistant professor
level during the 2001 fall semester (Sept-Dec 2001). The individual hired
will be expected to teach two courses: a lecture course in Molecular
Biology (1 hr, three times weekly -- MWF 9:00-9:50) and a laboratory course
in Molecular Biology (5 hr, one time weekly -- M 1:10-6:00). These are
upper-level courses that fulfill major requirements for biology and
biochemistry majors with anticipated enrollments of 30 in the lecture and
16 in the lab course. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. "in-hand"
and prior college-level teaching experience
Barnard College is an independent, undergraduate women's college affiliated
with Columbia Univerity in New York City.
