> How many transmembrane proteins in Fly?
One answer can be found with the Gene Ontology data set thru
euGenes genome informations service
http://iubio.bio.indiana.edu/eugenes/
in the All Genes -> Gene Function/Location/Process section. This
goes to
http://iubio.bio.indiana.edu/eugenes/.bin/gotree.html
where one can type in 'transmembrane*' and find functions related
to transmembrane. Looking at transmembrane receptor, I find
205 fly genes, 560 mouse genes, and 12 yeast genes.
