Please bring the following advertisement to the attention of any excellent
candidates.
Postdoctoral Position
A postdoctoral position is available in the Developmental Biology
Program at The Hospital for Sick Children. Candidates with a strong
background in Drosophila genetics, molecular and cell biology, and/or
protein biochemistry are encouraged to apply. Available projects will
address: (1) the role of phosphatidylinositol 4-kinases in cytokinesis
and development (Brill, et al. (2000) Development 127: 3855-3864); and (2)
factors required for the developmental regulation of cytokinesis and
intercellular bridge formation in the Drosophila male germ line (Hime,
Brill and Fuller (1996) J. Cell Sci. 109: 2779-2788).
The Hospital for Sick Children has excellent research facilities, with
access to many seminar series featuring internationally renowned speakers.
Drosophila researchers benefit from participation in an active cross-campus
developmental biology community, as well as biweekly meetings of a
Drosophila group comprising 11 laboratories affiliated with the University
of Toronto.
