A postdoctoral position is available for PhD in Biology with a strong
interest in Bioinformatics to study transcriptional control in
Drosophila development using newly developed computer algorithms that
identify and analyse transcriptional control elements. The project is
to experimentally validate the algorithms and to use them for the
further dissection of the transcriptional regulatory networks
involved in early embryonic patterning and in the specification of
glial cell fate. The postdoc will work jointly with a fly group (U.
Gaul) and a bioinformatics group (E. Siggia), both at Rockefeller
University, New York.

Candidates should have a strong background in transcription or
Drosophila genetics; prior quantitative training is preferred but not
required.

The position is NIH funded and available immediately. For further
information or to submit application please contact Ulrike Gaul
(gaul at mail.rockefeller.edu).
