FACULTY POSITION
MOLECULAR NEUROSCIENCE: SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/Biology/Docs/Jobs/Neural_Ad.html.

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee (http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/Biology) invites applications
for a tenure track (Assistant Professor) or tenured (Associate Professor)
faculty appointment in Molecular Neuroscience as part of a campus-wide
neuroscience initiative. This position is also one of six new positions in
eukaryotic molecular biology at UWM (See
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/Biology/Docs/seminar.html and
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/GLWI/pos/index.html). Candidates should have
interests in receptor-mediated cell signaling or gene regulation that
complement the developmental, neuroendocrine, or behavioral foci of the
neuroscience faculty. We expect the successful candidate to conduct a
vigorous extramurally funded research program involving M.S. and Ph.D.
students and contribute to departmental teaching at the undergraduate and
graduate level.

Send a curriculum vita, a concise statement of research and teaching goals
and three letters of recommendation to:

Chair, Neuroscience Search Committee
Department of Biological Sciences
P.O. Box 413
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Milwaukee, WI 53201

Review of completed applications will begin on November 1, 2002 and will
continue until the position is filled. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

TWO FACULTY POSITIONS
MOLECULAR GENETICS/GENOMICS
UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/Biology/Docs/Jobs/Neural_Ad.html

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee ( http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/Biology )solicits applications
for two tenure-track positions in Molecular Genetics/Genomics of eukaryotic
organisms. This is part of a campus-wide expansion in molecular biology
consisting of over ten new positions (see
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/Biology/Docs/seminar.html and
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/GLWI/pos/index.html). We seek Assistant Professors
with a strong research record and the promise of developing an innovative
research program involving MS and PhD students. Candidates should use
molecular genetic, genomic/bioinformatic and/or biochemical approaches to
study questions in areas such as, but not limited to, gene regulation,
cellular differentiation and signal transduction. We particularly encourage
applications from individuals whose research interests complement those of
current faculty in molecular, cellular and developmental biology. We expect
the successful candidate to establish an independent, extramurally funded
research program and contribute to departmental teaching. Send a curriculum
vita, a concise statement of research and teaching goals and three letters
of recommendation to:

Chair, Molecular Genetics Search Committee
Department of Biological Sciences
