Postdoctoral Position 
Molecular and Genetic analysis of Drosophila Myogenesis 

A postdoctoral position is available August 1, 2003 to study embryonic development of the larval musculature in Drosophila, with an emphasis on myoblast fusion.  Studies focus on cell surface proteins that mediate cell-cell recognition and signaling events between myoblasts, as well as other molecules in the signaling pathway through which these proteins function.  Efforts are also directed toward the identification of novel genes associated with myoblast fusion.  Our laboratory utilizes a wide variety of experimental approaches.
