Postdoctoral Position Available on Neurodegeneration in Drosophila
A postdoctoral position is available, for up to 3 years, starting January 2004 in the Laboratory of Drosophila Research at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Using Drosophila as a model system, the laboratory focuses on the genetic and molecular analysis of human neurodegenerative diseases [Chan (2002) Trends Mol. Med. 8: 99]. We employ biochemical, genetic and immunohistochemical techniques to study existing and novel suppression pathways of inherited degenerative diseases [Chan et al. (2000) Hum. Mol. Genet. 9: 2811; Chan and Warrick et al. (2002) Hum. Mol. Genet. 11: 2895; Chan and Bonini (2003) Methods Mol. Biol. 217: 241]. Candidates should have experience in molecular biology and protein chemistry. Prior experience in Drosophila genetics is desirable but not required. Further information can be found at: http://genesis.bch.cuhk.edu.hk/LDR. Interested candidates should contact me by e-mail at hyechan at cuhk.edu.hk or by mail at:
