Thu May 22 20:01:42 EST 2003

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in my laboratory at
the University of Toronto to study molecular mechanisms of synaptic
development and function in Drosophila. The laboratory employs a wide
variety of techniques, including genetics, molecular biology,
electrophysiology, and imaging (confocal and electron microscopy) to
investigate key molecules involved in neurotransmitter secretion and
synapse development. The position is fully funded, but the incumbent
will be expected to compete for external funding from national or
international agencies at the earliest available opportunity. Applicants
should have a strong background in either molecular biology or
electrophysiology; previous experience working with Drosophila is
desirable, but not essential.

The position is available immediately and applications, which should
include a full CV and the names and addresses of two references, should
