Postdoctoral Position 
Cell Migration, Adhesion and Fusion during Myogenesis

A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study embryonic development of the larval musculature in Drosophila, with an emphasis on myoblast fusion.  Studies focus on cell surface proteins that mediate cell-cell recognition and signaling events between myoblasts, as well as other molecules in the signaling pathway through which these proteins function.  Efforts are also directed toward the identification of novel genes associated with myoblast fusion.  We have recently relocated to the Stowers Institute in Kansas City, which offered superb facilities and expertise in a variety of experimental approaches.
