SEM atlas of the surface of Drosophila?

We have a grant to teach SEM to high school students. We would like
them to do something useful, so we thought we would have them take
images of the entire surface on one model organism. Do you think
such an atlas would be used by the Drosophila community, or would
they rather do their own SEM to get the exact viewing angles and
magnifications they would want?
