TO THE DROSOPHILA COMMUNITY:
I am writing to announce the availability of a Drosophila RNAi Library
(dmRNAi) for over 7,000 genes. Utilizing community gene annotations from
FlyBase to design RNAi constructs was an invaluable resource in the
development of this RNAi library. We hope this tool will become an
essential tool for characterizing gene function in Drosophila.
Technical information on the dmRNAi Library:
- 300-600 bases of exonic sequence was amplified by gene specific primers.
- The dmRNAi constructs contain dual T7 promoters.
- Constructs are RNAse free, making them ready for direct use in in vitro
transcription.
- Utilizing commercial IVT systems, yields of 700ug were obtained from the
supplied dmRNAi.
The genes are available on a gene-by-gene basis or in 96-well plates (72).
All of Open Biosystems' products are available with No Strings Attached.
Non-Commercial Pricing: $72/gene (volume discounts available)
$5,000/collection of 96-well plates
