With nation-wide responsibility for improving the health and well
being of all Americans, the Department of Health and Human Services
oversees the biomedical research programs of the National Institutes
of Health and those of NIH's research Institutes. A funded
POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available to study the Drosophila
melanogaster homolog of the Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type-1 locus
using modern genetic and genomic techniques. The incumbent will be a
trained Drosophilist and will work in close collaboration with a
trans-NIH consortium of bench-to-bedside laboratories (Francis
Collins, Allen Spiegel, Steve Marx, Settara Chandrasekharappa, Brian
Oliver). Researchers awarded a PhD or MD within 5 years of the start
date are eligible.
