FACULTY POSITION, BEHAVIORAL NEUROGENETICS
The Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of
Houston (UH) invites applications for a tenure-track ASSISTANT,
ASSOCIATE, or FULL PROFESSOR position in behavioral neurogenetics
that will complement existing strengths in neuronal plasticity,
sensory systems, and biological clocks. We are particularly
interested in candidates using molecular genetic approaches to study
the regulation of behavior. The position requires an earned Doctorate
and postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate is expected to
maintain a nationally competitive, externally funded research program
and participate in graduate and undergraduate teaching. The
Department has spacious laboratories and offers competitive startup
packages. Applicants should submit curriculum vitae, a statement of
research interests, and have three letters of recommendation sent to:
Neurogenetics Search Committee, Department of Biology and
Biochemistry, University of Houston, Houston, TX 77204-5001. Review
of applications will begin November 1, 2004, and continue until the
position is filled. UH is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action
Employer. Minorities, Women, Veterans, and Persons with Disabilities
are encouraged to apply.
