Dear Drosophilists,
Here, we announce a partial opening of RNAi fly bank in National
Institute of Genetics (NIG) to the community, supported by the grant of
National bio-Resource Project (NBRP) in Japan. A comprehensive
RNAi-mutant fly bank covering all 13,800 Drosophila melanogaster genes
is being constructed. We have opened 1,136 lines as far, the number
will increase up to 2,500 lines until the end of 2007. Please check out
our new web site.

Part of the site is still under construction, however please enjoy and
if you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Dr. Ryu Ueda
(rueda at lab.nig.ac.jp) or Kazuko Fujitani (flyadmin at lab.nig.ac.jp). We
hope our RNAi flies could be useful for your research and Drosophilla
community.
Notice -- Since RNAi flies were constructed by collaboration with
MITILS (Mitsubishi Kagaku Life Sciences Institute), MTA document will
be necessary to order our flies. If possible, please enter the
principal investigator's name when you make a request.
Sincerely,
