TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION
GENETICS
The Department of Biology at Iona College invites applications for a
tenure-track geneticist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor
with a starting date of September 2006. This faculty member's
responsibilities include teaching a sophomore-level course in genetics
and a genetics course to masters students in our science education
program. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to teach
upper-level undergraduate electives in one or more of the following
areas; neurobiology, immunology, developmental biology or molecular
biology. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a
vigorous research program that engages undergraduate students.
Applicants at the Associate Professor level must have a research program
with a demonstrated track-record involving undergraduate students and
extramural funding. Review of all applicants will begin immediately and
continue until the position is filled. Interested individuals should
submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching
philosophy and research interests and three letters of reference to Dr.
