Role of nutrient sensing in Drosophila growth and development

The successful applicant for this 3 year post 
doctoral position will use genetics, physiology, 
molecular biology and biochemistry to study the 
roles of nutrient sensing and metabolism during 
larval growth and fasting in Drosophila (E. 
Gutierrez et al. 2007. Nature: 445, 275-280). You 
should have a Ph.D with a background in 
developmental biology and previous experience 
with Drosophila genetics is desirable, although 
not essential.

Salary is from £26,808 to £32,488 per annum 
inclusive of Location Allowance. MRC final salary
