Do you want to play a pivotal role in the research life of people? Do 
you want to participate in building up a new international institute at 
the waterfront of the beautiful and sunny city of Lisbon, Portugal? Then 
this might be something for you!

/Your tasks:/

We are looking for a long term fly facility manager to run a state of 
the art fruit fly facility. You would get trained in genetic techniques, 
learn how to work with flies and generate transgenic flies. You would be 
responsible for generating transgenic flies, keep fly collections, 
organize the fly rooms, environmental chambers, behavior rooms and for 
the production of fly food. You would get your training by working with 
the /Drosophila/ groups of the Champalimaud Foundation Neuroscience 
Programme (CNP) at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC) in Lisbon. 
At a later stage you will be responsible for starting and running the 
operations of the new fly facility in the new building of the 
Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon.

/Your qualifications:/

*A focused, well-organized, very reliable, motivated, independent and 
proactive working style* as well as very good interpersonal skills and 
good English skills are essential. Experience in /Drosophila/ husbandry, 
a bachelors degree in science and previous organizational 
responsibilities are a plus but not required.
