I AM ASKING YOU FOR YOUR HELP. THE YOUNG POMBO BILL IS ON ITS WAY TO THE
HOUSE FLOOR. I AM ASKING YOU TO PLEASE, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR OWN
CONGRESSPERSON. ASK HIM/HER TO PLEASE OPPOSE HR 2275, THE YOUNG POMBO
BILL.

YOU CAN CALL YOUR REP ON A TOLL FREE LINE---- 800-962-3524

OR YOU CAN WRITE TO YOUR CONGRESSPERSON AT:
                        THE HONORABLE (JOHN DOE)
                        C/O HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
                        WASHINGTON, DC 20015

(IF YOU DONT KNOW WHO YOUR REPRESENTATIVE IS, CALL THE SAME 800 NUMBER AND
ASK THE RECEPTIONIST. HE OR SHE WILL TELL YOU)

THIS IS VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!! I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

HERE IS WHAT THE BILL WOULD DO IF IT PASSED:
=PROHIBIT ONLY DIRECT KILLING OF AN INDIVIDUAL OF A LISTED
          SPECIES
     =PROVIDE NO PLAN FOR RECOVERY
=PERMIT DESTRUCTION OF THE SPECIES' HABITAT
=MAKE LISTING A SPECIES EVEN MORE DIFFICULT AND TIME
CONSUMING THAN IT IS ALREADY
=REDUCE PROTECTION FOR MARINE SPECIES (IE MANATEES,
WHALES...)
=INCLUDE CAPTIVE POPULATIONS (IE INDIVIDUALS IN ZOOS) WHEN
            DETERMINING STATUS OF A SPECIES

ONCE AGAIN, I URGE YOU TO PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSPERSON! IN ADDITION,
IT
WOULD BE EXTREMELY HELPFUL TO HAVE OTHERS CONTACT THEIR REPS AS WELL.

=============================================
                                     WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO??????

PLEASE FORWARD THIS LETTER TO ANOTHER FRIEND(S) ONLINE. IT DOESNT MATTER
WHERE THEY LIVE, AS LONG AS THEY ARE FROM THE UNITED STATES.

PRINT THIS LETTER OUT AND GIVE IT TO A FRIEND OFFLINE. WRITE A LETTER TO
THE
EDITOR OF YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER ABOUT THE YOUNG/POMBO BILL.

CALL FRIENDS BOTH IN YOUR AREA AND OUTSIDE OF YOUR AREA AND URGE THEM TO
ALSO
CONTACT THEIR REPS.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! TOGETHER, WE CAN REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE DONT HESITATE TO EMAIL ME AT
AUTUMN239 at AOL.COM

BEST WISHES,
