Hi,

We are trying to study root hydraulic conductivity of Brassica's. We will
using
hydrostatic pressure (Pressure bomb method) for the purpose. Since straight
N2 may
have effect on root system we are thinking of using either compressed air
or N2 and O2
mixture.

: Can I use only N2 for hydraulic conductivity measurement? (I may be
pressurising
for 2hours (max))

:If not can I use compressed air?

:If I can use mixture what should be the praportion?

If any one can give me a good reference it will be great.

Thanks

Sangamesh Angadi
