POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE OPENING
A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study the influence of
UV and warming on Antarctic vascular plants. Incumbent must be available on
or before August 1, 1998. Requires a Ph.D. in plant biology, physiology,
ecology or related field with a strong background in whole-plant physiology
or physiological ecology. Expertise in leaf gas-exchange, DNA-damage,
chlorophyll fluorescence, micrometeorology, and/or photobiology useful. The
successful candidate will be a member of a team working at a remote field
site in Antarctica for 5 months and must pass an in-depth medical/dental
exam. Ability to formulate experimental approaches, analyze results and
communicate findings in peer-reviewed manuscripts is essential. Position is
available for one year with the possibility of renewal. Please send CV and
