Vector contamination and the sequence databases

Alex,

	We are already working on addressing this problem to the
extent that we can help through the GenBank On-line Service.  At the
suggestion of Paul Gilna at GenBank/LANL, we hope to provide by next
month a searchable database of vector sequences as an option in our
FASTA-MAIL server.  This is obviously not a complete solution to the
problem that you raise, but I will defer comment on other options to
EMBL and LANL.
