EMBL release consists of the EMBL normal division and whole genome shotgun
(WGS) data. Some useful statistics about this release are provided as
follows:

  Total file size: 68 GB of compressed files, with 4.6 % increase over last
release.
                   365 GB of uncompressed files, with 3.4 % increase over
last release.
  Division data: 80,591,891 sequences comprising 146,595,277,574
nucleotides, an increase of about 8.9 % of number of entries over release
87.
  WGS data:     18,034,036 sequences comprising 80,379,878,900 nucleotides,
an increase of about 22.8 % of number of entries over release 87.
