pH-dependence of GFP fluorescence?

Hi

This may be a basic question but have done a quick search and cannot
seem to find any information regarding the pH-dependence of GFP
fluorescence.  I have expressed a fusion protein containing EGFP in Hela
cells and would like to try to measure fluorescence in a cell lysate. 
Does anyone know whether pH is an important parameter in quenching GFP
fluorescence?

Any information greatly appreciated.
