GFP and Apoptosis

Dear GFPers,

I am expressing a EGFP Fusion protein transiently in mammalian cells and
would like to check whether my
fused protein (or mutants thereof) induce apoptosis or not. Which kind
of assay (preferably in situ) would you recommend  - compatible with GFP
viewing under the microscope to see which cells were transformed?
