Green Fluorescent Protein Fixatives

Can anyone offer me some advice?

I am working with GFP in mouse Embryonic Stem (ES) cells. I am planning
some experiments, but so far have only used 4% paraformaldehyde to fix
GFP.

I was wondering if anyone has used acetic acid or formamide (for FISH
experiments) to fix GFP, and whether they had had any success. Also, at
what temperatures have these fixatives worked best?

Are there any other fixatives that have been successfully tried?

Thanks for any advice,
