Stabilising GFP in mouse embryos

I need help! I am analysing GFP which is cytoplasmically located in E9.5
mouse embryos. When I fix the embryos (4% PFA with or without 0.1%
glutaraldehyde, for various times) and analyse from 1-3 days later the images
are blurred and the GFP is diffuse - if I analyse on day of isolation, the
images are great. Can anyone help me on what I can do to stabilise the GFP?
Thanks in advance.
