Kozac sequence before ATG in EGFP-N plasmids

What do you think about the fact that there is a Kozac consensus CCACC
sequence just before the ATG of the enhanced fluorescent protein and
after the MCS in EGFP-N and EYFP-N vectors? I suppose that in order to
obtain a fusion protein without internal traduction of the fluorescent
protein by itself we have to take away this Kozac stuff. Have anyone of
you used these plasmids with the Kozac sequence still in place?
