Genetic Heart Disease

My husband is 38 years old and is just beginning to recover from double
by-pass surgery.  He is not overweight, normal cholesterol level, no diabetes,
is not a drinker or smoker and has exercised diligently all of his life.  The
only problem is his father died at the age of 40 from a heart attack.
Therefore I am looking for resources about heart disease.  Can you help?
