Database Manager

Position available for a database manager/programmer to manage and participate
in the continued development of an internationally acclaimed database system
that tracks, registers and stores data associated with large multifaceted
research program in Human Genetics.  Specific skills needed include skilled
programming in C, AnsiC, or C++ with database design experience to continue
development of a medical relational database system.  UNIX knowledge (BSD or
solaris) required.  Graphics knowledge a plus. The ability to design database
schema with implementation in an easy, user-friendly manner is a necessity. 
This person would be responsible for the continued design and implementation
of a large medical genetic relational database.  He/She would work directly
with the Project Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator to design new
features in order to maintain system as state of the art.  He/She would be
responsible for implementing these features on SUN/Microsystems Workstations.
