I hope you have gotten an answer long before now..... If you are using 50 microliter reaction volumes, you have to pipet 0.5 microliter portions of Taq..... bad enough for one or two tubes, but for 20-40? Also, if you make a reaction cocktail, you have less of a risk to contaminate the stock solutions. make any sense? harold
