splitting pedigree files

I am looking for a program that would convert a file with extended
pedigrees into file(s) made of nuclear families.

I already looked on the Rockefeller linkage software list webpage as well
as the S.A.G.E documentation. I tried the program gconvert, from
Sib-Pair, and it does a good job at splitting the pedigrees into nuclear
families but I did not succeed in having all the family members listed (it
only stated how many nuclear families in a given pedigree and other
related information). However, I am not sure that I get that kind of
output because I do not know how to do it properly or if it is simply
because the program can not do it.

I would greatly appreciate assistance from anyone that has done that kind
of pedigree file conversion before or are aware of a program doing it.
