The Developmental Regulation of Gene Locus Activation

The post is funded initially by the West Riding Medical Trust and is=20
immediately available for two years in the first instance. The project=20
will involve the molecular analysis of gene locus activation in the=20
hematopoietic system using a well characterized model system=20
(see Review in J. Biol. Chem. 272, p. 26075 (1997)).=20

We are using state-of-the art molecular
biology techniques as well as transgenic mice and in vitro
differentiated embryonic stem cells. Experience with the generation
and analysis of transgenic mice would be an advantage but is not
absolutely necessary.
Salary will be in the range of research staff grade 1 A (=A315159 -
