POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
in centromere/kinetochore structure and function. NIH funded Postdoctoral
position available immediately to study chromosome movement and the role of
specialized proteins in centromere/kinetochore structure and function. This
project uses biochemistry, genetics and cell molecular biology to study the
targetting and function of centromere ptotein-DNA complexes at the
molecular level. Current work focuses on understanding how the yeast
homolog of a human centromere protein, CENP-A, finds and assembles
centromeric chromatin (Genes Dev. 9:573). Salary commensurate with
experience.
