Publication of EGC-1 Papers and Posters
Note: This email describes publication issues for presentations
made at the First Electronic Glycoscience Conference (EGC-1)
EGC-1 papers and posters for which authors choose permanent
publication and which pass through the refereeing process can be
published in a special issue of Glycoconjugate Journal in the format of
a traditional journal paper. Posters may be used as short papers or
letters to the editors in the journal issue.
An alternative choice is also offered to authors to present
their paper or poster on the CD "The Glycosciences". This CD will be
based on activities of The Glycoscience Network including presentations
at EGC-1, EGC-2 and the Glycoscience Hyperglossary Project. The CD will
allow viewing of presentations on PC and Mac platforms using a
browser to present material in a similar fashion as done on the
World Wide Web. The CD will not be in production until 1997 and
presentations will be served on the Web in the meantime.
