First Announcement - 1998 meeting of the Society for Glycobiology
The 1998 meeting of the Society for Glycobiology will be held in Baltimore,
MD, beginning Wednesday evening, November 11, 1998, through Saturday
evening, November 14,1998.
The meeting will be hosted at the Renaissance HarborPlace Hotel in downtown
Baltimore. The meeting venue is adjacent to the National Aquarium, and to a
wide variety of restaurants, shops, and historical and nautical attractions
at Baltimore's scenic inner harbor.
Registration will take place beginning in the afternoon of Wednesday
November 11, 1998.
The Keynote Address will be given Wednesday evening by Dr. Phillips W.
Robbins, Ph.D., Professor of Biochemistry at the Center for Cancer Research
at MIT. A reception will follow Dr. Robbins' Keynote Address.
Full scientific sessions, poster sessions, and exhibits are scheduled for:
Thursday Nov. 12, 1998 - all day
Friday Nov. 13, 1998 - all day
Saturday Nov. 14, 1998 - all day
A banquet will be held on Friday evening immediately after award ceremonies
where the Genzyme Award and the Karl Meyer Award will be presented.
