To all serious glycobiologists and readers of the glyco-site,
I have a major question concerning the handing of glycoproteins during
antigen processing. What is the fate of the glycan ? Where is it
degraded ?
Where exactly are the glycosidases located within the endosomal
compartments. Are they only present within the lysosomes or are they
also found within the early and late endosomes meaning that
deglycosylation is initiated at an earlier stage than within the
lysosomes ??
Sincerely
T
