Hi!
I am writing to ask if anyone is familiar with the "critical electrolyte concentration" phenomenon in the detection of different glycosaminoglycans using alcian blue solution on paraffin-embedded sections.
The problem I have is that the alcian blue precipitates out of solution immediately upon the addition of magnesium chloride.
Any advice would be most deeply appreciated.
