Hmm....
I've cultured THP-1 and U937 monocyte cell-lines in teflon beakers. The
cells Don't stick down unless activated (by PMA for example). However,
once activated they can stick down hard enough to require a rubber
policeman to get them off the teflon. I would therefore speculate that
normal monocytes would also be able to stick down on teflon, at least
under some conditions.
