Hi, I'm sorry if this is a really basic question (probably been
asked umpteen times already). My lab has a polyclonal antibody that is showing
an unexpected cross reactivity.
I've lined up the sequencences using a comparison program (sip in
the Staden package) and there are 3 stretches of five homologous residues and
one of ten with a few breaks in it. Would any of these be sufficient to
cause the cross reactivity given that both stretches are probably in helical
regions?
Thanks in advance
Debbie
