Since this is a polyclonal antibody preparation, is it possible that the
cross-reaction is due to two different populations of antibody molecules,
rather than antibodies with a single specificity reacting with two
different proteins?
One experimental approach to answer this question would be to absorb your
antibody prep with one of the proteins and determine whether you
simultaneously remove antibodies reacting with the second protein.
